When will you have more of....?
Great question! Surplus is a weird world and we never know when we are going to get more and when we do we never know what we are going to get . We buy mixed textiles on a pallet and then we sort through it all and hope for some good stuff. We grade it all and then we put it up on the site. Also, when it comes to genuine military surplus we don't get to pick what sizes we get. Most surplus is made for people who are typically younger and very active, so the larger sizes that a lot of civilians are looking for are few and far between. For this reason we do not hold items or try to contact people who are looking for specific items in specific sizes - you could be waiting years for that email from us! Not that we had forgotten, but that item might not have shown up in the size you want for years. Literally. We highly recommend that you have a look at our RESTOCK page from time to time to see if what you are looking for has made it onto the site. If you see what you like in your size just go for it! It might be ages before we have it in back in stock.
Military (Mondopoint) Boot Sizing Directions and Conversion Chart
Before you order boots, especially if this is your first time with military boot sizing, please follow these steps for your most accurate size.
Trace an outline of your largest socked foot onto a piece of paper (should be done in the evening as your feet swell towards the end of the day and are at the largest size).
Draw a line from the longest point on that outline (toe to heel) and draw a line across the widest point (side to side). Measure these lines in MM (millimeters) - the length is the first # (example 255 mm), and the side to side is the second # (example 96 mm) - this is your Mondopoint measurement: 255/96. Round the length up to the nearest number divisible by 5 and the width up to the nearest even number - 241/95 would be 245/96.
All modern Canadian military boots have the Mondopoint measurement.
We have provided a conversion chart below but we do find that for best accuracy a person should follow the directions provided above.

What are Grades?
For all army surplus items our grading system is;
- NEW & Un-issued - Usually still in the original bag or if not it will be unworn and new.
- USED Grade 1 - Has been issued but in great condition other than maybe some slight wear and fading
- USED Grade 2 - Has been issued with some wear and fading but is still fully functional with lots of life left
- USED Grade 3 - Issued and well used, maybe some missing bits and may need some small repairs.
Canadian Forces NATO Sizing
Canadian forces use a four digit number for their sizing, for example a pair of pants could be 7334. The first two digits are the wearers total height in inches and the second number is the wearers waist in inches.
So for 73/34 the wearer would be approximately 6 Feet tall and would fit up to a waist size 34. See the picture below for clarification

For shirts, sweaters, jackets, coveralls and flight suits they may also use a four digit system, this again is the wearers height in inches for the first two digits but then the wearers CHEST size in inches for the second two digits.
